Fun Fact: The average American spends about 70 hours per year on lawn care.
Doesn't sound like much, but it adds up. Lawn care peaks from April through October, about 7 months out of the year. And then there's snow from December through February, but that's for another post.
So what's a man to do when he loathes lawn maintenance? When he prefers a beer and the shade and the beach rather than the laborious, time-wasting work of mowing beneath the unforgiving sun?
He gets a robot lawn mower.
The best thing is it mows for you. It also saves on lawn care costs if you pay for a lawn service. Yes, they are expensive, but over one summer, you'll make your money back in time, labor and lawn care costs.
- More free time with the family and friends.
- Energy that can be spent on other projects.
- Money that can be saved or spent on more important things.
And it's no longer a trend, a novelty, but now an established technology that makes mowing a thing of a past, something to watch rather than do.
From the recent report by stock market research analysts Nanalyze, the market is growing at about 4% each year which means the technology will only improve as costs come down. More big brands are entering the market every year including long time robot vacuum leader iRobot.
Europe is already ahead of the game, leading the robot lawn mower market share at about 60%. Big brands and trends believe in robot lawn mowers and so should you.
